Winter’s Whisper: The Silent Embrace of Death

Poetry Image

In the quiet calm of winter’s night,
The world lies still beneath a shroud of white.
Frosty breath whispers secrets untold,
As life retreats from the bitter cold.

Trees stand bare, silent sentinels of time,
Their branches etched in a frozen rhyme.
Shadows lengthen, as day turns to dusk,
Embracing the silence, in which we trust.

Snowflakes fall, like tears from the sky,
Each one a memory of days gone by.
The earth slumbers, in a deep, cold rest,
Cradled gently by winter’s chest.

Yet in this stillness, there’s a quiet grace,
A gentle reminder of life’s fleeting pace.
For in death’s embrace, we find our peace,
As winter’s whisper brings sweet release.
