Whispers of Your Absence in Midnight Silence

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, I hear your name,
Whispered by the winds that play this endless game.
Memories dance in the shadows, soft and light,
Filling the void left by your flight.

Stars above seem to echo your gentle voice,
Every twinkle a reminder of a distant choice.
The moon’s glow, a pale imitation of your smile,
Keeps me company, though only for a while.

My heart aches with the weight of your missing touch,
A longing so deep, it’s almost too much.
Dreams of you drift like clouds across the sky,
Bringing tears to my eyes as I wonder why.

Yet hope remains, a beacon in this sea of sorrow,
That we will meet again in some bright tomorrow.
Until then, I’ll hold your memory dear,
And wait for the day when you are near.
