Whispers of the Tainted Sky: A Lament for the Earth

Poetry Image

Beneath the smog-filled, heavy skies,
The trees weep silent, unseen tears.
The rivers murmur mournful sighs,
As nature’s voice fades, disappears.

Once vibrant greens now muted gray,
The air, a toxic veil so thin.
The birds no longer sing or play,
Choked by the poisons deep within.

Our oceans vast, now tainted, grim,
Their waves no longer blue and bright.
The fish, they swim in waters dim,
Lost in the shadows of our blight.

Can we restore what we’ve defiled?
Can hope arise from ashes cold?
To heal the earth, both pure and wild,
Requires courage, brave and bold.
