The ice melts in silent sorrow,
As oceans rise with the dawn,
Forests burn in fiery horror,
While lifeâs balance is withdrawn.
The skies once blue and clear,
Now clouded, choked with haze,
Earth’s creatures live in fear,
Of the sun’s unyielding blaze.
Rivers dry, their courses fade,
Plains once lush now barren,
Nature’s beauty, slow to degrade,
By humanity’s hand so callous and unspoken.
Yet hope springs eternal in the heart,
For change is still a chance,
If we unite and play our part,
A future bright, we can enhance.
