Whispers of a Silent Hunger: The Tale of Malnutrition

Poetry Image

In the shadows of the bustling streets,
Lies a silent cry, a plea unvoiced,
Where dreams falter and hope retreats,
Malnutrition, the unseen, the unchoiced.

Tiny hands reach for empty bowls,
Eyes that tell stories of endless night,
Hearts weighed down by unmet goals,
In a world that forgets their fight.

The echoes of a stomach’s growl,
A symphony of sorrow, an unending song,
Where every breath feels like a prowl,
For sustenance, where they belong.

Yet within these shadows, a spark remains,
A whisper of hope, a chance to heal,
To break the chains, to soothe the pains,
And bring forth a future where they can feel.
