Whispers of a Silent Forest Breathing Beneath the Gray Sky

Poetry Image

In the heart of a weary city,
Where the skies have lost their blue,
Silent screams of nature echo,
As the wind carries tales untrue.

Once the trees stood tall and proud,
Now they bow to the dust-filled air,
Leaves whisper stories of a time,
When life was untouched, rare.

Rivers now carry shadows,
Of dreams lost to industrial might,
Waters murmur forgotten songs,
Under the cloak of endless night.

Yet in the quiet, a hope remains,
A plea for a gentle embrace,
For hands to heal the wounded earth,
And restore its gentle grace.
