In shadows cast by the moon’s faint glow,
A heart beats fiercely, yearning to know.
The whispers haunt, they softly tread,
Through dreams and thoughts, they gently spread.
With every glance, a dagger’s slice,
Eyes green with envy, a soul’s device.
The smile you share, the laugh you give,
In jealousy’s grip, I struggle to live.
A silent plea, a desperate cry,
To rid this heart of the emerald lie.
Yet deeper still, the roots entwine,
Feeding on fears, it claims what’s mine.
Oh, to be free of this binding chain,
To feel the warmth, to escape the pain.
But till that dawn, in shadows I stay,
With jealousyâs ghost, I wane away.
