Whispers in the Silence: When Hearts Drift and Shadows Linger

Poetry Image

In the corners of our home, shadows softly creep,
Words left unspoken, buried in the deep.
The laughter that once echoed, now distant and faint,
Hiding behind walls, the cracks of our restraint.

A table set for dinner, yet a chill fills the air,
Conversations halted, with unacknowledged despair.
Photographs on the mantel, memories that fade,
Time’s gentle erosion, where love once laid.

In the quiet of the night, the silence screams loud,
Dreams once shared, now cloaked in a shroud.
Eyes that once sparkled, now clouded and dim,
Lost in the echoes of a love grown slim.

Yet within the storm, a flicker of light,
A hope that tomorrow might make things right.
For in the heart’s core, a flame still resides,
Waiting to rekindle, the love that abides.
