Whispers in the Shadows: A Poem on Discrimination

Poetry Image

In the shadows, where whispers dwell,
Lies a tale of hearts that swell,
With dreams crushed and hopes denied,
By prejudices that won’t subside.

The color of skin, the love one holds,
Should not dictate the worth of souls,
Yet here we stand, divided still,
By ignorance and minds so ill.

Eyes that judge with blinded sight,
Hands that push with all their might,
Against the ones who seek a place,
In a world that claims to embrace.

But voices rise, unwavering strong,
Singing a brave, defiant song,
For a time when hearts will see,
The beauty in our unity.
