Whispers in the Night: Shadows of Fear and Unease

Poetry Image

In the silence of the midnight, whispers creep,
Shadows dance, my heart skips a beat.
Dreams turn to nightmares, as darkness swirls,
Fear grips tight, in the realm of night’s pearls.

Eyes wide open, yet vision fades,
Ghostly figures in a moonlit glade.
Echoes of terror, chilling the soul,
A haunting presence, taking its toll.

Trapped in a labyrinth of endless fright,
Seeking the dawn, the saving light.
Monsters lurk where the shadows grow,
In the nightmare’s grip, the fear does flow.

Morning breaks, the terror subsides,
Nightmares retreat, where darkness hides.
Yet in the back of my weary mind,
Whispers linger, in shadows confined.
