Whispers in the Hallways of Power: A Tale of Corruption’s Silent Echoes

Poetry Image

In shadows where the secrets lie,
A whispered promise, a hidden sigh,
The golden coins that blind the eyes,
In corridors where truth slowly dies.

Power cloaked in a velvet guise,
Deals made beneath the moonlit skies,
A tangled web of deceit and lies,
Where integrity’s flame flickers and dies.

The voices of justice, silenced and weak,
Drowned by the clink of silver’s sleek,
In the chambers where ambition speaks,
The heart of honor quietly leaks.

Yet hope endures in hearts so bright,
With courage to stand and fight the blight,
For in the dawn’s revealing light,
Truth will rise, casting darkness to flight.
