In the heart of cities, shadows grow,
The chasm deepens, as cold winds blow.
A whispering tale of the rich and poor,
Of doors wide shut and open doors.
The wealthy bask in golden rays,
While others toil through endless days.
Crystal towers touch the sky,
As dreams of many, struggle to fly.
The streets tell stories of silent cries,
Beneath the gleam of neon skies.
Yet hope persists in every heart,
Seeking light, a brand new start.
Oh, may our hearts break these chains,
To heal the wounds, to ease the pains.
For in unity, we shall find,
A world that’s fair, for all mankind.
