Whispers in the Crowd: The Silent Weight of Expectations and the Dance of Conformity

Poetry Image

In the quiet echoes of a crowded room,
Where voices blend in harmony and strife,
Lies the subtle pressure, an unseen loom,
Weaving threads that bind a youthful life.

The whispered urgings of the faceless peers,
Shape choices like a sculptor molds the clay,
In shadows, dreams are tainted by their fears,
As hearts are swayed by what the others say.

Beneath the mask of laughter, smiles feigned,
Lies the longing for a path untold,
Yet in the dance of sameness, all is gained,
Except the freedom of a soul uncontrolled.

To stand apart, to break the silent chain,
Is to find the strength within the self to soar,
Amidst the whispers, true and bold remain,
And let the spirit rise forevermore.
