In the heart of nature’s embrace,
The whispers of trees sang through the air,
Leaves rustled in an ancient dance,
A symphony of life, beyond compare.
But axes fell with ruthless might,
And chainsaws roared through the night,
The forest cried in silent fright,
As shadows swallowed the morning light.
The creatures fled to parts unknown,
Their homes destroyed, their lives uprooted,
A barren wasteland now has grown,
Where once lush forests had deeply rooted.
We stand amidst the echoes then,
Of what was lost, and what remains,
In hopes that we might heal again,
And break free from these destructive chains.
