When Trust is Torn Asunder

Poetry Image

In the quiet whispers of the night,
Where shadows dance and truth takes flight,
A heart once pure, now stained by blight,
Lies uncovered, in the dimmest light.

Promises made, now turned to dust,
Love once sacred, betrayed by lust,
In this game of deceit and mistrust,
A bond so fragile, crumbles to rust.

Eyes that wander, hearts that stray,
Secrets hidden, in the light of day,
A web of lies, spun in dismay,
Trust shattered, in the cruelest way.

Yet in the ashes, hope may find,
A chance to heal, a peace of mind,
For even when love seems unkind,
True hearts can mend, and wounds unwind.
