When Trust is Betrayed: The Hidden Scars of Exploitation

Poetry Image

In the shadow of deceit, I stand alone,
My heart once open, now turned to stone,
I gave my all, my trust so pure,
Only to find a pain no cure.

The words they said, so sweet, so kind,
Masking intentions, cruelly designed,
They took my strength, my soul’s bright light,
Leaving me in the darkest night.

I wonder now, if love is real,
Or just a tool for others to steal,
My dreams, my hopes, all stripped away,
In this cold world, where shadows play.

Yet in this pain, I find my might,
To rise again, and fight the fight,
No longer will I be their pawn,
For I am strong, and life goes on.
