When Trust Becomes a Shadow, and Kindness is a Chain

Poetry Image

In the garden where promises bloom,
Lies a heart, tender and true,
Giving without measure,
Yet receiving shadows in return.

Beneath the sun’s warm embrace,
Whispers of friendship dance,
But in the night, the truth unfolds,
Kindness wrapped in chains.

Eyes that once sparkled with hope,
Now search for understanding,
As intentions shift like sand,
Leaving imprints of betrayal.

Yet even as the storm rages on,
The heart learns to stand,
Guarded but not hardened,
Finding strength in newfound wisdom.
