When the Stars Whisper Your Name and the Moon Cries in Vain

Poetry Image

In the silence of the night, I call your name,
Echoes through the emptiness, a haunting game.
Stars above twinkle, yet they seem so far,
Reminding me of you, my distant, guiding star.

The moonlight dances on the quiet sea,
Reflecting memories, where you used to be.
Each wave that crashes, whispers your tune,
I close my eyes and wish upon the moon.

The wind carries your scent, so bittersweet,
In every corner of our old retreat.
Your laughter lingers, a ghostly embrace,
Filling the void, this hollow space.

Time moves slowly, days blend into nights,
Searching for solace in fleeting lights.
Yet, in this solitude, my heart will remain,
Waiting for the day you’ll be home again.
