When the Love Fades Away, Leaving Only Echoes of Yesterday

Poetry Image

We once danced in twilight’s gentle embrace,
Our hearts beating in synchronized grace.
But now the rhythm falters, steps misplaced,
A waltz of shadows, in a love erased.

Your laughter once painted the skies so bright,
Now silence falls, like the deepest night.
We speak in whispers, our voices tight,
Strangers in the dark, losing the light.

Memories linger, like ghosts in the hall,
Remnants of joy, now distant and small.
We reach out, but cannot breach the wall,
Love’s gentle whisper now a distant call.

In the end, we stand on separate shores,
The love we had, now forever implores.
To find solace in what was, and explore,
The path ahead, where hearts can soar.
