When the Heart Walks Alone

Poetry Image

The sun sets on our time entwined,
With shadows casting memories bright,
A love so deep, now left behind,
As I walk into the silent night.

Your laughter echoes in the empty halls,
Whispering dreams we once did share,
But time has built unyielding walls,
Leaving only a lingering despair.

Each step away tears at my soul,
For parting ways is a heavy toll,
Yet in the distance, hope may grow,
A chance for both to find a new goal.

Farewell, my love, though it breaks me so,
This path we tread, we must let go,
To find ourselves in worlds unknown,
And heal the wounds that time has sown.
