When the Flame Fades Away: A Tale of Hearts Drifting Apart, Unraveling Bonds and the Pain of Love’s End

Poetry Image

When the flame fades and shadows grow,
Once bright hearts now beat slow,
The echoes of laughter, now whispers in the air,
Love’s tender touch, slipping through fingers bare.

We danced in the moonlight, dreams interwoven,
But time, the thief, has our closeness stolen,
The warmth we shared, now a distant memory,
Hearts once in sync, now lost in misery.

Words once sweet, now taste of sorrow,
Promises of forever seem hollow,
The silence between us, a growing divide,
Love’s gentle tide, now a receding tide.

As we drift apart, the tears fall,
The end of a story, once and for all,
With heavy hearts, we bid adieu,
To the love that once, we thought was true.
