When Silence Grows Between Us: A Daughter’s Lament on Broken Bonds

Poetry Image

In the shadow of whispered words,
A chasm grew wide and vast,
Beneath the echoes of what was heard,
Our hearts drifted, bound to the past.

Your eyes, once a shelter from storms,
Now hold the cold of distant skies,
Where love once thrived and warmed,
Only silence and questions arise.

Memories tangled in threads of gold,
Now unravel in silence’s embrace,
The stories untold, left to unfold,
In the spaces we no longer trace.

Yet hope lingers in the quiet night,
A whisper that seeks to mend,
Wishing for dawn to bring new light,
So our hearts can find their blend.
