When Shadows Fall and Echoes Fade

Poetry Image

In the quiet moments of dawn’s first light,
I feel the emptiness where you once stood,
A void that words can never quite fill,
A silence that echoes through my soul.

The days stretch long, each hour a lifetime,
Memories dance like ghosts in the wind,
Your laughter, now a distant whisper,
Leaves an ache that time cannot mend.

Nights are endless, stars dim and cold,
Your absence a shadow that darkens the moon,
Dreams of you slip through my fingers,
Like sand, lost to the tides of sorrow.

Yet in my heart, a flame still burns,
A beacon of love that will never die,
For though you are gone, you live within me,
A part of my soul, forever nigh.
