When Love Turns to Chains and Shadows Dance in Embrace

Poetry Image

In the beginning, a gentle breeze,
Whispers of love in the silent night.
Hearts entwined in sweet, tender ease,
Blind to the shadows just out of sight.

Promises painted with vibrant hues,
Yet beneath the surface, a storm brews.
Words like daggers, sharp and cold,
In toxic love, the truth unfolds.

The chains of passion, binding tight,
In a dance of shadows, we lose the light.
Eyes once bright with dreams untold,
Now dimmed by whispers, cruel and bold.

Yet still we linger, caught in the tide,
Hoping for warmth in the freezing tide.
In the darkness, love’s cruel game,
We lose ourselves, forget our names.
