When Love Turns to Ashes: The Silent War Within

Poetry Image

In the quiet corners of my heart,
A storm brews with whispered rage,
Love once vibrant now torn apart,
Trapped within an unyielding cage.

Eyes that once sparked with gentle fire,
Now burn with scars of betrayal deep,
Words that danced with sweet desire,
Echo as secrets I cannot keep.

A battlefield of emotions collide,
Between love’s ghost and hatred’s call,
In this turmoil where I must abide,
Lies the shadow of our rise and fall.

Yet beneath the ashes, embers glow,
Memories linger of what once was,
In the end, we reap what we sow,
In love’s fierce grip, I pause.
