When Love Slowly Slips Away

Poetry Image

In shadows beneath the moon’s pale glow,
Two hearts once bound, now drift apart.
Words unsaid, emotions no longer flow,
Silence echoes in the hollow heart.

Promises fade like whispers in the wind,
Time erodes the dreams we dared to share.
Once entwined, now frayed and thinned,
Hope lingers in the cold, empty air.

Memories haunt like a distant song,
Familiar notes now play out of tune.
The path we walked feels so wrong,
Lost between the sun and the moon.

Yet in the quiet, a lesson lies,
Love’s fragile threads need tender care.
Though we part beneath these skies,
The heart will heal, and learn to dare.
