When Love Feels Like Pain

Poetry Image

To love you is to feel the sun,
Burning bright, yet searing deep,
A dance of joy and agony,
In waking moments and in sleep.

Your smile, a balm, a gentle breeze,
Yet cuts through like a sharpened knife,
Each touch, a blend of sweet and sting,
A paradox of love and strife.

I hold you close, my heart in chains,
Bound by the ties of passion’s thread,
Each beat, a whisper of your name,
In every tear and word unsaid.

For loving you is to endure,
A tempest wild, a calm so rare,
A love so true, yet bittersweet,
Forever bound, a love laid bare.
