When Love Fades and Shadows Remain

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, echoes of what once was,
Where laughter lingered, now silence has paused.
The stars seem dimmer, the moon a distant glow,
As memories of us, like whispers, softly flow.

The heart, once vibrant, now beats slow and faint,
Painted with sorrow, an artist with no paint.
Dreams once shared, now scattered like leaves,
In the corners of my soul, where the heart grieves.

Eyes that once sparkled with shared dreams and hopes,
Now search the horizons, where endless heartache slopes.
Each sunrise brings a reminder of what was lost,
A lingering coldness, love’s cruelest frost.

Yet in the shadows, a flicker of light remains,
Whispering of healing amidst the pains.
For even in heartbreak, lessons softly unfold,
In the ashes of love, new stories are told.
