When Love Crumbles: Stories of Bad Mothers

Poetry Image

In shadows where the light should gleam,
A mother’s touch, a broken dream,
Her words, like thorns, they pierce the heart,
From nurturing, she’s torn apart.

Promises whispered, never kept,
In silent nights, the children wept,
A fortress made of cold neglect,
A love that’s lost in retrospect.

The scars on hearts, they cannot mend,
From wounds inflicted by a friend,
Who should have been a guiding light,
But turned their days to endless night.

Yet in the darkness, hope is found,
In strength that rises from the ground,
For even when a mother fails,
The spirit fights, it never pales.
