When Love Becomes a Gentle Ache

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, whispers grow,
A tender yearning, like a river’s flow.
To love you is to feel the sun’s embrace,
Yet in its warmth, shadows find their place.

Heartbeats echo in the silence of the stars,
Each throb a reminder of how close yet far.
The gentle tug of love’s sweet, aching thread,
Weaves a tapestry of words unsaid.

Eyes closed, I trace the contours of your face,
In dreams where time and space find their grace.
Yet waking brings a bittersweet refrain,
For love so deep, it mingles joy with pain.

To hold you close is to hold the world entire,
Yet in this closeness, burns an unquenched fire.
A paradox of longing, fierce and true,
To love so much, it aches to be with you.
