When Father Departed, A Daughter Wept

Poetry Image

In the silence of the night, you left without a word,
Shadows cast long, where your presence once stirred.
A heart so young, now burdened with sorrow,
Yearning for the days, of a brighter tomorrow.

Memories linger, of laughter and grace,
The warmth of your smile, the touch of your embrace.
Now only whispers, in the corners of my mind,
Searching for solace, that I cannot find.

The stars seem dimmer, without your guiding light,
The world feels colder, in the absence of your might.
A daughter’s tears, like rivers they flow,
Missing the love, that you used to show.

Though distance divides us, and time moves on,
In my heart, your spirit will forever be strong.
For even in departure, your love will remain,
A bond unbroken, through joy and through pain.
