When Darkness Envelops the Soul

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, shadows creep,
Whispers of sorrow, secrets they keep.
A heart weighed down by unseen chains,
Echoes of anguish, relentless pains.
The world outside may never know,
The silent battles, the hidden woe.
Beneath a smile, a storm does rage,
Emotions trapped within a cage.
Each day a mountain, steep and high,
Climbing through tears, yet asking why.
The light seems distant, hope feels thin,
Struggling to find the strength within.
Yet in the darkest, deepest night,
A whisper of dawn, a flicker of light.
Hold on, dear soul, for you will find,
The dawn will come, pain left behind.
