When Dad’s Light Dimmed Forever

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, I hear your whisper,
A fleeting echo of the past, so tender.
Your presence, once a guiding star,
Now rests in memories, near yet far.

The days without you feel so long,
But in my heart, your love stays strong.
Though time may heal, the ache remains,
For in your absence, only pain.

Your laughter once filled our home,
Now silence speaks where you once roamed.
I search the sky for signs of you,
In every dawn, a hope renewed.

As seasons change and years roll by,
I hold you close, and softly sigh.
For though you’re gone, your spirit stays,
In every step, in all my days.
