When Childhood Flew on Wings of Time

Poetry Image

In the garden of youthful dreams,
Where laughter knew no bounds or seams,
The sun would dance on faces bright,
And days stretched long into the night.

Yet whispers came on winds so swift,
A gentle push, a subtle shift,
The world grew large, the time grew thin,
And innocence wore frail skin.

With eyes that saw beyond the day,
The child within began to sway,
To tides of change, to calls unknown,
Where seeds of care and worry grown.

Still, echoes of a simpler past,
In heart’s embrace, forever cast,
A longing glance to days of yore,
Where time was still and dreams would soar.
