Unrequited Whispers in the Night Sky

Poetry Image

Beneath the moon’s silent gaze, I linger,
In shadows where my heart does softly sing.
My love, like whispers, lost in twilight’s finger,
Yearning for the dawn your eyes might bring.
Each glance you cast, a dagger to my soul,
A gentle smile that never finds its way.
I dream of moments where our hearts are whole,
Yet wake to find the night still rules the day.
Your laughter, like a song I can’t possess,
It dances through the air, but not for me.
I weave my dreams in silken threads of less,
Bound by the chains of love’s cruel decree.
And so I wait, in shadows long and deep,
For love that’s lost, but never truly gone.
In silent tears, my heart will always keep,
The hope that in your arms, I might belong.
