Trees: A Tribute to Joyce Kilmer’s Vision

Poetry Image

Whispering leaves in the twilight’s embrace,
Roots deep in the earth, an ancient grace.
With branches that reach for the heavens so high,
Trees stand as sentinels under the sky.

In the quiet of forests, their secrets unfold,
Stories of ages in rings that they hold.
Each tree a testament to time’s gentle passage,
Their beauty and strength, nature’s own message.

The rustle of leaves, a symphony’s song,
In the heart of the woods, where spirits belong.
Shadows and sunlight play on their bark,
Trees are the guardians of both light and dark.

Oh, to be a tree with roots so deep,
To stand through the ages, both awake and asleep.
In every bough and every leaf we see,
The timeless beauty that trees can be.
