The Weight of Worry: When Thoughts Turn Heavy and Days Grow Long

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, shadows start to creep,
Thoughts swirl like whispers, denying restful sleep.
What if tomorrows never bring the light?
The mind, a restless ocean, in the silent night.

Each moment stretches, filled with imagined fears,
Dreams of joy eclipsed by unwelcome tears.
The heart races forward, yet the hours drag,
Underneath the burden, the spirit starts to sag.

Yet in this storm of thoughts, a light may appear,
A gentle reminder that hope is always near.
For worries, though heavy, need not define,
The beauty of living, the chance to realign.

Let go of the chains that bind the weary mind,
Embrace the present, leave the past behind.
For in this moment, the heart can finally see,
The weight of worry lifted, setting the spirit free.
