The Weight of Skin: A Tale of Shadows and Light

Poetry Image

In a world where colors dance in harmony,
Yet shadows cast a different melody.
The shade of skin, a silent divide,
Where prejudice and pain often hide.

The whispers of history linger still,
Echoes of chains, against their will.
A tapestry woven with threads of sorrow,
Seeking a brighter, fairer tomorrow.

Hearts that beat with equal fire,
Dreams that lift, that soar higher.
If only eyes could truly see,
Beyond the surface, to the soul’s decree.

Let us rise, hand in hand,
Erase the lines drawn in the sand.
For in unity, we find our might,
A world of love, where all is right.
