The Weight of Shadows: A Journey Through Grief and Loss

Poetry Image

The days grow long, the nights grow cold,
In the silence, memories unfold.
A heart once full, now feels the strain,
As tears fall down like gentle rain.

The echoes of your laughter fade,
Replaced by shadows you once made.
A void so deep, a chasm wide,
Where love and sorrow now reside.

In dreams, I see your face so clear,
A fleeting moment, you are near.
But dawn arrives, and you are gone,
Leaving me to face the dawn.

I’ll carry on, though burdened so,
With love and loss, I’ll learn to grow.
A part of you, within me stays,
Guiding me through all my days.
