The Weight of Homework: An Unseen Labor of Love

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, the pages turn,
Under a solitary lamp, thoughts churn,
Equations and essays, a mountain to climb,
Each word, each number, a step in time.

The clock ticks softly, minutes drift by,
As dreams of freedom in textbooks lie,
A journey of learning, a path so steep,
In the world of knowledge, promises keep.

The mind wrestles with facts and dates,
Seeking answers behind closed gates,
With every problem solved, a victory sweet,
In the quiet hours, persistence meets.

As dawn approaches, the work is done,
Another battle of homework won,
In the silence, a scholar’s quiet cheer,
For in each assignment, growth appears.
