The Weight of Homework

Poetry Image

Beneath the dimming lamps, the papers lay,
A mountain of tasks, each night and day,
The weight of knowledge, a heavy toll,
In the quiet hours, it takes its roll.

Pages filled with ink, a student’s plight,
Hours spent in the silent night,
Questions linger, answers sought,
In the quest to learn, battles fought.

Minds weary, yet they push ahead,
With dreams of future, in every thread,
The clock ticks by, relentless, stern,
Each lesson learned, each corner turned.

But in this toil, a spark does gleam,
A whisper of hope, a distant dream,
For in these tasks, the seeds are sown,
Of wisdom gained, and futures grown.
