The Weight of a Thousand Sorrows

Poetry Image

In the stillness of the night, a heavy heart resides,
A soul once vibrant now silently hides.
Echoes of laughter turned to whispers of pain,
Memories of joy now leave a bitter stain.

The world outside continues its cruel dance,
Oblivious to the soul’s broken trance.
Tears fall like rain on a desolate land,
No comfort found, just an empty hand.

Darkness envelops every waking thought,
A battle within, endlessly fought.
Hope seems a distant, fading star,
Healing feels impossibly far.

Yet in the abyss, a flicker of light,
A reminder that day follows night.
Though deep pain carves its relentless mark,
The human spirit can still find a spark.
