The Web of Deception: Lies We Tell and Lies We Hear

Poetry Image

In shadows deep, where truth lies bare,
Deception’s web is woven there,
A tangled skein of whispered lies,
That blinds the heart and clouds the eyes.

Each falsehood spun with careful grace,
Leaves scars unseen upon the face,
Trust once broken, hard to mend,
In lies, we lose a faithful friend.

The words that dance upon the tongue,
With poison sweet and stories sung,
We weave our tales, both dark and light,
Yet truth remains just out of sight.

Oh, fragile heart, beware the snare,
Of lies that lure with subtle flair,
Seek the light, where truth abides,
And cast away deceitful tides.
