The Unyielding Hunger: A Tale of Endless Yearning

Poetry Image

In the shadow of desire’s endless peak,
There lies a soul, forever weak,
Bound by chains of ceaseless need,
Lost in the dark abyss of greed.

The heart that once knew simple joys,
Now seeks what gold and wealth employs,
A thirst unquenched, a hunger wild,
Consuming all, both meek and mild.

Eyes that gleam with hollow light,
Chase illusions through the night,
Forsaking love and kin for more,
A slave to greed’s relentless roar.

Yet in the ashes of this quest,
Lies the truth, a final test,
That all the riches in the land,
Cannot fill an empty hand.
