The Swift Passage of Childhood Dreams

Poetry Image

In the days of youth, where time stood still,
We laughed and played with hearts to fill.
But shadows crept as years went by,
And childhood dreams began to fly.

The weight of time, it pressed so fast,
Each moment fleeting, never to last.
We wished for more, we wished to grow,
But now we see what we didn’t know.

The world outside, with all its haste,
Beckoned us forward, no time to waste.
Yet in our rush, we left behind,
The simple joys, the peace of mind.

So here we stand, with hearts that yearn,
For days of old, for times to turn.
Growing up too fast, we see,
The beauty of our lost memories.
