The Sweetest Poison: A Tale of Addiction and Love

Poetry Image

In the depths of night, I find your gaze,
A captive to your touch, in endless daze,
Each whisper of your name, a siren’s call,
Pulling me deeper, where shadows fall.

A love so potent, it seeps through my veins,
An addiction that numbs all my pains,
Yet with each kiss, a price I must pay,
Bound by your spell, night and day.

Your love, a potion, sweet yet cruel,
Leaves me helpless, a willing fool,
In every heartbeat, I feel the crave,
For a love that drowns, yet makes me brave.

In this dance of desire, we twist, we spin,
Between passion’s peaks and sorrow’s grin,
Love and addiction, forever entwined,
A bittersweet bond, endlessly blind.
