The Sirens’ Call Across the Midnight Sea

Poetry Image

Beneath the moon’s soft, silver light, they sing,
Enchanting voices rising from the deep,
Their melodies like whispers on the wing,
Luring sailors to an eternal sleep.

Upon the waves, their haunting hymns do float,
A symphony of sorrow and of grace,
Each note a tether to a shattered boat,
Each chord a glimpse of a forgotten face.

The sea, a canvas painted with their song,
Holds secrets of the souls they’ve claimed before,
Their echoes in the night, so pure, so strong,
A siren’s plea that none can long ignore.

Yet in their eyes, a sorrow deep and vast,
For they are bound to sing forevermore,
Each sailor’s fate, a shadow of the past,
Their voices mourn the love they can’t restore.
