The Sinking of Our Dreams Beneath the Waves

Poetry Image

Beneath the moonlit sky, our ship set sail,
With dreams aloft, we braved the stormy gale.
The stars above, our guiding light, so bright,
Whispered hope through the endless night.

But fate, with cruel hands, did grasp our fate,
As waves grew fierce and sealed our watery gate.
The timbers groaned, the sails, they tore apart,
The sea, our grave, where dreams depart.

In icy depths, where light cannot reach,
Our whispered prayers and silent speech,
We sought solace in the cold embrace,
Of the ocean’s depths, our resting place.

Now, in the deep, our story’s told,
By currents strong and waters cold.
The ship, a ghost, in silent sleep,
Beneath the waves, in shadows deep.
