The Silent Thief: The Story of Alcohol’s Grip on Life, Love, and Dreams

Poetry Image

In the shadows of a glass, reflections of despair,
Promises whispered, lost in the air,
A silent thief, it steals the night,
Turning hopes and dreams out of sight.

Liquid courage, a fleeting friend,
With every sip, a soul to rend,
Moments of solace, quickly fade,
Leaving behind a heart betrayed.

In the haze, a life once bright,
Dulled by the darkness of endless night,
Love and laughter, distant and cold,
A story of sorrow, forever told.

Yet in the dawn, a glimmer of hope,
A chance to break free, to learn to cope,
To reclaim joy, to mend the heart,
And from the shadows, make a new start.
