The Silent Surrender: When Strength Fades Away and Hope Dims

Poetry Image

In the depths of night, where shadows loom,
A heart once fierce, now meets its doom.
Whispers of dreams, now distant and faint,
The spirit wanes, no longer a saint.

The battle fought, with vigor and might,
Now feels so distant, out of sight.
Every step, a heavy toll,
The weight of the world, crushing the soul.

Eyes that once sparkled, now dim with despair,
The burden too great, too much to bear.
Hands that once reached for the stars,
Now lay still, marked with scars.

In this moment of silent surrender,
A quiet acceptance, a heart grown tender.
The fight is over, the battle ceased,
In giving up, there lies a peace.
